The Sreepur Village Clinic
The Sreepur Village Clinic plays a vital role in each and every beneficiary’s health. The clinic, open 24/7, works hard in assessing and treating the many health problems that arise. Mothers and children, upon admission to the village, go to the clinic for routine health checks and whether their symptoms are minor or major the care, that the clinic delivers, is second-to-none.
Every month the clinic will treat 100-150 beneficiaries, which in total can amount to over 400 treatments.
We have two nurses, one paramedic and one physiotherapist and together they work on assessing, diagnosing and treating the beneficiaries’ various ailments. The clinic has a small laboratory which undertakes primary routine tests and depending on the the severity of the diagnosis, the beneficiaries may also be admitted to an outside government hospital.
The clinic is such an important part of The Sreepur Village and every year it arranges numerous camps and programs such as the Dental and Circumcision Camp and the Scabies and Lice Prevention Programme.
The village is also very strict when it comes to hygiene, waste management and water testing, all necessary measures that aid the control of contagious diseases.
Without the support of our donors we would be unable to offer these many health services and in the run up to UK Charity Week, commencing December 4, we will be raising awareness and funds for the Sreepur Village Clinic. With each donation our mothers and children are one step closer to living a healthy brighter future.
