Sreepur Swimming Graduates!
Celebrations and congratulations to our Sreepur Swimming Graduates!
They have not just been taught how to save themselves from drowning but they can also save others. At the beginning of last month, our first scheme started with 70 children and over the month 50 of them passed. Some of our children that attend school outside the village can’t participate in regular training so they will take part again in the second round. Our Graduates had to learn 25 metres front crawl, 30 seconds treading water or floating and perform a land rescue. The most important thing for The Sreepur Village is we were successful to shield these 50 children from drowning.
Our next stage is to prepare and train our staff so that they can in turn pass that training on and we will be able to save lots of children. We also hope these children will be able to save thousands of children in rural Bangladesh from drowning.
We are feeling super proud of our latest achievement in Sreepur!
