Shopping Trip!

Every three months a group of our mothers from Sreepur Village go to visit the Half-way House (pre-rehabilitation centre) as a part of our community rehabilitation strategy.

Last week, some of our mothers took a trip out to the Half-way House and into the local community. They are using this as an experience to help them start their new lives and are accompanied by one of our staff from the Village – practising and getting used to visiting the wider community. For this trip, they were out shopping to buy family necessities, crockery and food. They went to the nearby market for grocery shopping. The mothers work together to do their shopping and as a group they learn how to choose products, work out the cost and manage their money.

The mothers had a wonderful day and hugely enjoyed their experience at the market – all returning to the Village with smiling faces!!
